28. Jun. 2011 EAE awarded large order from Prinovis
Prinovis, Europe's leading rotogravure printing company, is investing in the Ahrensburg site to strengthen its competitiveness and to satisfy the highest rotogravure printing quality requirements. A TR10B/3.60 type rotogravure printing press which was disassembled and stored two years ago in Darmstadt is currently being installed again in the printing plant in Ahrensburg and brought up to date technically. EAE has been selected as the supplier for the control technology, thus reviving an already successful market segment in the 80s and 90s.
The order includes the following main measures:
- - Renewal of the entire aggregate control
- - Delivery of two new state-of-the-art designed
- control consoles
- - Development and delivery of a press presetting
- system and an information system
- - Complete installation and commissioning of
- the entire press
The existing drive technology is to be kept, revised and adapted to new requirements.
The order is all the more significant for EAE as the company was able to assert itself against the market leader in the automation field for rotogravure presses. The partner companies of Prinovis, the Avarto, Axel Springer AG and Gruner + Jahr Groups, have placed their complete trust in the innovative capabilities of EAE.
EAE has also very successfully further developed its core business of newspaper production systems. Thanks to the increasing willingness to invest on the part of the printing industry, a number of large projects in the field of retrofit and various orders for digital workflow systems could be acquired in the financial year 2010/2011 ending on 30.04.2011.
