20. Apr. 2010 New machine control to Druck- und Verlagshaus Frankfurt

After the longstanding EAE customer, Druck- und Verlagshaus Frankfurt am Main in Neu-Isenburg, optimised all its workflow processes and sequences using the disposition and statistics modules "V.I.P. dispo“ and "V.I.P. statistic“, the company now decided for another comprehensive innovation project with EAE. During the coming 12 months the machine control will be replaced and the whole workflow optimized.

The start of delivery for the 16 new control consoles of the latest generation "Baltic Star" will be April 2010. This involves a migration of the control console application to the Windows operating system. Work on site started on 12/04/2010 with a revision of the network and an upgrade of "PRINT". In a total of eight sections the dual Arcnet is first converted to a simple Arcnet and all systems are updated. Eight new "INFO" reporting and logging systems and new "NetPCs" will be supplied and installed.

At the beginning of 2011 this is followed by a thermographic test of all the machines. As a final step of renewal the web widths and paper paths are modified and at the same time the EAE production planning and preconfiguration system "PRINT" updated with the latest version. In plate production Neu-Isenburg will be provided with the EAE plate management system "Print Image“. Using "Print Image“ optimizes production times and production quality and safety. "To meet the changed market requirements in our company we have adapted our organisational structure. The products from EAE play a central part in this. Since 2008 we therefore use e.g. the overriding planning and control system "V.I.P.". Not least because of the successful and longstanding cooperation with EAE it is a consistent step for us also when preparing for future requirements, to expand and update the integrated control systems using the latest EAE technology." – Quote of the autorized representative and head of the print centre Neu-Isenburg, Denis Kämper, Druck- und Verlagshaus Frankfurt am Main.
