Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitungsgesellschaft updates the workflow systems ‘Print dispo’ and ‘Print image’ to the current version
At the two WAZ print locations in Essen and Hagen an upgrade of the workflow systems Print digital to the current versions Print dispo and Print image was performed. The new PDF functions in Print image played a major part in the decision for this update. It is now possible to manage PDF files and also to perform the page paring on PDF level. This new possibility enables WAZ to react even quicker to customer requests and therefore to gain the competitive advantage.
The operation and utilisation of the system has become even more transparent and economic with the use of the new client. During this upgrade the change to a virtual system is also implemented, to offer an even better availability of the system.
Modernisation at V-TAB Group in Norrtälje
After the locations in Gothenburg, Halmstad and Västerås the V-TAB group has now tackled another modernisation. Next, the GOSS Universal machine in Norrtälje will be equipped with new EAE technology.
Four new EAE control consoles ‘Baltic Star’ and an update of the systems Info and Print to the corresponding newest version, enable a more effecient operation and a reduction of waste in Norrtälje. The new technology not only means an improvement of the operation and production safety for the coming 10 - 15 years, but also a secured spare part supply.
