EAE - We make print happen

This is an area where the experience and knowledge of EAE has been proven to be invaluable, with their ongoing success in the area of control console migration. As the recently completed project "Stroh. Druck und Medien GmbH" in Backnang (near Stuttgart) has shown.

Service and maintenance tasks were completed on the KBA Journal machine located in Backnang before starting with the task of migration and retrofit measures. A rework of the arcnet network was followed by the change-over of the control consoles and the Info system. The last step of the modernisation measures was the exchange of the main drive controls.

A new technological and also economical period started for Stroh. Druck und Medien GmbH with the use of the modern EAE control console. This is of special importance today since the print market demands an extremely cost effective production to keep up with the competition of the online media sector.

The signals for a change, which EAE has recognised are becoming more and more relevant for the implementation of the EAE Retrofit modules. The new control consoles in Backnang enable the planning and control of all machine functions from one central location. All important operating data is provided by the new Info system. These greatly improved framework conditions have enable a significantly higher print throughput than previously. The high automation factor of the EAE systems has lead to a streamlined production, reduction in errors and a reduction personnel functions.

The customers Stroh. Druck and Medien GmbH in Backnang have made it clear how satisfied they are with the retrofit measures, which have been completed exactly according to the planning schedule agreed at the start of the projects. The close cooperation at the location and the fact that the printing operation was not affected at any time was praised. The statement from the printing house quietly sums up the straight forward approach of EAE employees: "You get the impression that EAE knows what to do".
